Memphis, TENN. – Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis recently named Cameron Murphy as Chief Nursing Officer. Murphy had served as the hospital’s interim CNO since Nov. 2021.

Before coming to Saint Francis, she served as National Director of Clinical Operations with Tenet Healthcare in Farmers Branch, Texas. Prior to joining Tenet, Murphy spent 16 years with St. Dominic-Jackson in Jackson, Miss., where she held a variety of roles including Director of Nursing in Patient Care Services and as a Nurse Manager in the Neurology/Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit.

Her accomplishments include developing on-boarding tools to assist with leadership retention efforts and putting processes in place that reduced wait time in the Emergency Room and decreased hospital length of stay.

“Cameron is an exemplary leader with a proven track record,” said Chris Cosby, Market CEO for Saint Francis Healthcare and CEO of Saint Francis-Memphis. “Her wide breadth of experience, as well as her approachable leadership style, makes her a perfect fit to help us continue to enhance the level of patient care and services we provide.”

Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.
