Saint Francis Healthcare is pleased to welcome Matthew Brooks MBA, MA as the new Director of Strategy at Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis, effective May 3, 2021.  In this role, Brooks will be responsible for developing and implementing the hospital’s business strategy using data to analyze market dynamics, trends and competition. He will also identify and evaluate opportunities for new or expanding inpatient and outpatient services and programs based on needs in the local market.

 

“As we continue to expand our presence in Memphis and surrounding communities, we understand just how important it is to approach our growth initiatives with meticulous mindfulness and Matthew has the skill to help us get to the next level,” said Sally Deitch, Saint Francis Healthcare Market CEO.  “Matthew’s unique experiences in developing healthcare service lines, along with his background in finance, education and strategy, will allow him to swiftly become an asset to our team.”

Brooks comes to Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis from Riverside Medical Center where he served as the Strategy and Operations Manager.  While at Riverside Medical Center, he led a multimillion dollar renovation outpatient services project and facilitated the expansion of orthopedic services.

“I believe my past experiences will provide a strong foundation to help Saint Francis-Memphis continue to grow and deliver high quality care,” said Brooks. “I am very excited and energized to join such a forward-thinking organization that embodies patient-centered initiatives. I plan to work closely with the physicians and staff to expand service lines, inpatient and outpatient services, and grow our outreach within Memphis. Memphis is a city that encapsulates growth, diversity and pride to help one another.”  

Brooks earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Administration from Bradley University. He then completed a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Olivet Nazarene University followed by a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

In his spare time, Brooks enjoys exploring new parks, museums, trails and restaurants with his wife and three children. He looks forward to spending time outdoors, reading, running and biking in Memphis’s warm weather.
