Celebrating Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett's Nurses

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett recently had eight nurses honored by Celebrate Nursing as “Top 100” nurses in Shelby and Fayette Counties. They are Christy Brooks, Kristina Cherry, Jane Foster, Tristan Hadaway, Tynita Smith, Clarice Taylor, Patricia Williams, and Dairn Zachary.

In addition, Tynita Smith was honored as one of the “Excellent 11” nurses, while Clarice Taylor was presented with the Virginia McAskill Award. The award is presented in memory of Virginia McAskill, R.N., who was one of the founders of Celebrate Nursing. The award recognizes Taylor for being an inspiration and mentor to other nurses, providing compassionate care to patients and families, and maintaining a drive for excellence in quality, patient care, and service.

“Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is proud to have eight of our nurses recognized by Celebrate Nursing,” said Chris Locke, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett chief executive officer. “These nurses have demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and a commitment to providing our patients with excellent care.”

Celebrate Nursing, Inc. was created in 1987 for the purpose of recognizing excellence in nursing. Each year the Celebrate Nursing committee selects their honorees based on professionalism, active roles in nursing, and an overall ability to show a genuine love and respect for the nursing profession.
