"A" Hospital Safety Score for Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett

Oct 15, 2019
Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has been honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital industry watchdog. Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is one of two hospitals in the Memphis area to receive an “A” grade, and one of just 138 hospitals nationwide to have received “straight A’s” since 2014.

The Hospital Safety Score was calculated under the guidance of the nation’s leading experts on patient safety and is administered by The Leapfrog Group. The Hospital Safety Score is designed to provide consumers with information they need when making decisions about a hospital stay.

“Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is proud to again be recognized as an ‘A’ hospital for patient safety by The Leapfrog Group, as a demonstration of our commitment to providing high-quality care,” said Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett CEO Chris Locke. “The staff are more than deserving of this high mark, as they are truly dedicated to helping our patients live happier, healthier lives.”

30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data are used to produce a single grade representing a hospital’s commitment to reducing errors, infections, and accidents. More than 2,600 hospitals have been assigned scores, with less than a third receiving an “A” grade.
