Join Our Community-Wide Effort to Provide a Healthy Breakfast to Those in Need

(May 23, 2017 - Memphis, Tenn.) – Saint Francis Hospital- Memphis is leading a community effort to provide a healthy breakfast to those struggling with hunger, and is inviting the public to help.  The Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank, kicks off Friday, June 2 and runs through June 9.

Donations of healthy cereal to the Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive will be collected at Saint Francis Hospital- Memphis, located at 5959 Park Avenue, Memphis.  A financial donation to the cause can be made to our partner in the cereal drive, the Mid-South Food Bank, by visiting their website. Financial donations received during the campaign will be matched up to $100,000 by Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis’ parent company, Tenet Healthcare.

Gregory, Ph.D., CEO of Saint Francis Hospital –Memphis. “We recognize the importance of beginning each day with a nutritious breakfast and, through this drive, we hope to help the many in our community struggling with food insecurity.”

How the public can help us “Fill the Truck”
Join us Saturday, June 3rd from 8a.m. – 2p.m. at Kroger located at 540 S Mendenhall Road to fill our truck with healthy cereal. You can also help by donating healthy cereal at the hospital or by making a financial donation to help purchase items such as milk, fruit and lean protein needed to complete a well-balanced breakfast.
