(March 22, 2017 – Memphis, Tenn.) Saint Francis Hospital –Memphis hosted a ribbon cutting and open house this week to showcase a new Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) as part of their expanding Heart and Vascular Center.  The new EP lab offers state of the art technology and advanced functionality for the heart and vascular patient.

“We are pleased to provide this technology to assist our physicians and staff who are dedicated to providing the highest quality services and care to our patients,” said Audrey E. Gregory, Ph.D., CEO of Saint Francis Healthcare and Saint Francis Hospital - Memphis.  “Our new EP Lab is part of our ongoing efforts to expand our heart and vascular services for the Memphis community.

During the event, physicians, staff and guests were able to tour the new EP Lab and talk with administrators about the growth of the hospital’s Heart and Vascular Center.  Representatives from the Greater Memphis Chamber were on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting.

The new EP Lab is an Innova system from GE, which offers a comprehensive suite and functionality customized for a wide range of EP procedures.  The floor mounted system is designed from the ground up to provide advanced image clarity.  It covers more anatomy and is designed for fewer runs than smaller detectors, enabling efficient use of contrast and dose.
