Located on the campus of Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis, our Center provides pre- and post-operative care for patients who have undergone joint or spine surgery.  In fact, the care provided by our specially trained staff has been nationally recognized.
 
Patient suites feature dedicated space, including a full bath, for Coaches! 

 

 

Patients and their Coaches enjoy modern, spacious suites featuring connecting rooms.  Both rooms feature full baths, and the Coaches' room includes a hide-away bed.  A Coach, by the way, is a friend or family member who supports the patient throughout the surgery and recovery process, including staying with them while they are hospitalized.
 
 

 

The Saint Francis Joint & Spine Center has been recognized for quality by BlueCross BlueShield as a Distinction Center for Spine Surgery, by CIGNA as a Center of Excellence for Total Knee Replacement, and by UnitedHealth as a Premium Total Joint Replacement Center.
 
 

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval(R) for its hip and knee replacement program by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission's national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care.  The certification award recognizes the hospital's dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission's state-of-the-art standards. The hospital's joint replacement program underwent a rigorous on-site review during which a Joint Commission expert evaluated the hospital for compliance with standards of care specific to the nees of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
 

 

Patient Education Before and After Surgery - Throughout the process of preparing for, having, and recovering from surgery, the Center offers patient education.  This includes resuming activities with exercise and physical therapy, Comfort Management, the role of the Coach, returning home, and follow-up care.
 

 

MAKOplasty®

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is the first in Memphis to offer the MAKOplasty® partial knee resurfacing technology.  MAKOplasty is a minimally invasive treatment option for adults living with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis that has not yet progressed to all three compartments of the knee. For more information, click here.
