The Saint Francis Stroke Center offers a comprehensive program for diagnosing and treating stroke. Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians specializing in Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Radiology, and Neurosurgery. Also included are specially trained nurses, respiratory therapists, dieticians, imaging techs, laboratory professionals, educators, case managers and social workers, quality resource managers, rehabilitation physicians, and physical, speech and occupational therapists. All of these healthcare professionals are dedicated to one thing - making sure our patients have the best possible outcomes.
Our Primary Stroke Center Mission Statement
Saint Francis Hospital is dedicated to reducing the risk and burden of cerebrovascular disease, including stroke, arteriovenous malformation and aneurysms, through efforts in detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment using evidence-based practice and highly trained staff.
Our Stroke Center provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to collaborative treatment and healing of adult patients. We have five primary objectives:

The Saint Francis Stroke Emergency Center
Our Stroke Emergency Center is open and ready 24/7 to provide the immediate care required to effectively limit the physical damage a stroke can cause. If you or someone you know experiences any of the symptoms below, get them to a stroke emergency center as soon as possible. Every minute, every second counts when there is the possibility of stroke.
Possible Symptoms of Stroke:
Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any signs or symptoms of a stroke, even if they seem to fluctuate or disappear. Call 911 or your local emergency number right away.
