Saint Francis Hospital’s Behavioral Health Center offers a range of short-term, solution oriented treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.  Our care is personal, confidential and comprehensive.

 

Free Clinical Assessment Services

 

  • Emergency and scheduled appointments
  • Confidential evaluations to identify problem areas and treatment options
  • Treatment recommendations based upon assessment findings and psychiatric consultation
  • Assistance with referrals to the treatment program of the patient/family’s choice
  • Assessments provided free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week

 

Adult In-patient Psychiatric Programs

 

We provide:

  • A range of multidisciplinary clinical assessments including medical examinations, psychiatric and psychological evaluations and pharmacist review of medications and interactions
  • Individual and group therapies
  • Medication management
  • Educational groups
  • Recreational therapy groups
  • All private rooms with private baths
  • Short-term, inpatient, hospital-based therapy
  • Discharge planning and implementation

 

Early Childhood & Adolescent Psychiatric Programs

 

Our specialized programs for early childhood and adolescents share the same core capabilities and care options as our adult programs, but are tailored to meet the needs of developing minds.  We provide:

  • Separate programs for children under 12 and adolescents 12 to 17 years of age
  • Acute care inpatient treatment provided within an advanced medical hospital
  • All treatment is conducted in a secure environment
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • School services and counseling

 

Senior Adult Psychiatric Programs

 

Our senior psychiatric program is specifically designed to address common difficulties experienced by seniors, such as memory loss, confusion, declining physical abilities, decreased social activity, depression and other mood changes, loss of friends and loved ones, and an inability to maintain daily living skills. 
We provide:

  • Treatment program led by Board Eligible Psychiatrists who see their patients seven days a week
  • 24 hour nursing care
  • Patient and caregiver support, education and therapy groups
  • Nutritionists and other full-service hospital personnel committed to improving patients’ health

 

Treatment services in all mental health units are provided by a team of qualified mental health professionals under the direction of Board Eligible Psychiatrists.  Team members include RNs, psychologists, clinical social workers, other licensed clinical therapists, counselors, teachers and recreational therapists.  The team is supported by a professional staff of physician specialists, pharmacists, nutritionists and numerous other hospital personnel committed to improving individual and community health.
