Memphis TN – July 15, 2003 – The Saint Francis Bariatric Surgical Weightloss Program recently opened at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis.  This comprehensive program is designed to treat clinically severe obesity by using advanced technology.  The Program staff consists of experienced physicians, nurses, dieticians and technicians trained in working with weight management issues.  They focus on providing solutions that can meet the health care needs of the individual patient.  Dr. Jenny McGrath, Program Director, comes to Saint Francis from the Ohio State University Department of Surgery where she recently completed a fellowship.  Dr. McGrath has performed over 180 laproscopic bariatric surgical procedures.  This surgery is for persons who are 100 pounds or more overweight.
